KOCHI : Businessman Bobby Chemmanur has publicly apologized to actress Honey Rose over his controversial remarks about her, acknowledging that his statements caused significant emotional distress to the actress and her family. In a statement shared on social media, Chemmanur said he fully accepts responsibility for his words, offered an unconditional apology, and appealed to Honey Rose to withdraw the legal proceedings initiated against him.
In his message, Chemmanur said he has always believed in treating people with kindness, respect, and compassion, insisting that hurting or insulting anyone has never been his intention. While admitting that he occasionally shares humorous and light hearted content on social media, he clarified that such posts are never meant to offend, humiliate, or cause emotional pain to any individual.
The businessman said he now understands the impact his remarks had on Honey Rose and her family and expressed deep regret over the distress they experienced. He stated that he takes complete responsibility for both his comments and their consequences. Chemmanur also expressed hope that his sincere apology would be accepted, allowing both sides to move beyond the controversy in a positive and constructive manner.
The controversy stems from remarks allegedly made by Bobby Chemmanur during a jewellery inauguration event, which Honey Rose claimed were sexually suggestive and derogatory towards her womanhood. Following the incident, the actress lodged a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police, leading to legal action and Chemmanur being taken into police custody as part of the investigation.
Chemmanur’s public apology comes while the legal dispute between the two remains ongoing. His appeal for the withdrawal of the case marks the latest development in the controversy, though there has been no public response from Honey Rose regarding his request at this stage.
